Why I chose to run the Namibia Ultra Marathon by Francis Jones

Francis Jones writes a witty account of how he got the marathon bug all stemming from his experience whilst out in New Orleans when Hurrican Katrina struck. Fran tells us the lead up to his decision to run a marathon and how he’s now signed up to the Namibia Ultra Marathon in April.

Team Men’s Fitness join us on Namibia Ultra Training Weekend

We are delighted that Men’s Fitness are joining us on the Namibia Ultra Marathon coming up in April.  Team Men’s Fitness, as they are known, came down to Somerset last weekend to take part in our training weekend.  We had previous runners of the race come along, lots of lengthy runs and the event Doctor on hand to give advice on dehydration. It was a great weekend and you can find out more how the team got on on their blog.

Exciting times for Adventure Racing

Namibia Ultra Marathon

Namibia Ultra Marathon

We have recently had a number of press enquires about our races.  Womens’ Fitness are attending the Iceland Ultra Marathon in 2009, Runner’s World are up for the Namibia Ultra Marathon and Men’s Fitness are possibly up for the Costa Rica 24hr Adventure Race this December and the Namibia Ultra next year.

Crazy times for us but all very exciting, we hope this exposure in those very reputable publications will help grow our races and make them THE races to take part in.
